About Christ University
Christ University was established in 1969 as Christ College and was granted autonomy in 2004. In 2008, it became one of the first institutions in Karnataka to be granted the status of "Deemed to be University" under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. The university is part of the global network of educational institutions managed by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI).
The university is accredited with 'A+' grade by NAAC and has been consistently ranked among the top private universities in India.
